William Hague has been a prominent political leader for more than 20 years, serving as Leader of the Conservative Party and as Foreign Secretary. After announcing his intention to step down, he concluded his political career as First Secretary of State and Leader of the House of Commons. In four years as Foreign Secretary William dealt with a turbulent period encompassing wars in Libya and Syria, withdrawal from Afghanistan, the Ukraine crisis, the struggle against terrorism and relations with Europe. He expanded Britain's diplomatic network and placed a renewed emphasis on export success. William also led the negotiating team that created the coalition government in 2010, and he continues with his humanitarian work, including the Preventing Sexual Violence in Conflict Initiative which he co-founded with Angelina Jolie Pitt.
Mike O'Shea, Chief Executive
Mike was appointed Chief Executive of Premier in 2005. Mike joined Premier Asset Management in 1987 and has overseen the company's development into a highly focused and fast-growing investment management business.
Neil Birrell, Chief Investment Officer
Neil is Premier's Chief Investment Officer and fund manager of the Premier Diversified Fund & Premier Diversified Income Fund. He joined the company in 2013 from Elcot Capital, where he was part of the team responsible for managing multi strategy investments. Neil was previously Chief Investment Officer of Framlington Investment Management.
Darren Winder, Head of Economics and Strategy, Lazarus Research
Darren is Head of Economics and Strategy at Lazarus Research and started his career at The Bank of England in 1988 where he spent five years working within the International and UK Economics divisions. In 1993 Darren joined SG Warburg/UBS becoming their Chief UK Economist in 1994 and was appointed Head of UK Economics and Equity Strategy in 2000. In 2006 Darren joined Cazenove as Head of Economics and Strategy. Following the takeover of Cazenove by JP Morgan in 2010, Darren joined Oriel Securities as Head of Economics and Strategy, leaving in 2013 to run the Economics and Strategy business within Lazarus Research, an independent research provider. Darren produces extensive analysis of the UK economy and the UK equity market.
Geoff Kirk, Fund Manager, Premier Optimum Income Fund
Geoff Kirk joined Premier in July 2017 to become co-manager of the Premier Optimum Income Fund. Geoff joined from Schroders where he was a fund manager in the Structured Fund Management team and part of the team responsible for managing enhanced income funds. Previously, Geoff was a senior portfolio analyst at State Street Global Advisers. He is a CFA Charterholder.
Jake Robbins, Fund Manager, Premier Global Alpha Growth Fund
Jake Robbins joined Premier Asset Management in 2011 and is the fund manager of the Premier Global Alpha Growth Fund. Jake joined Premier from Investec Asset Management where he was the fund manager of the Investec Global Dynamic Fund. Jake previously worked at Rothschild Asset Management and Insight Investment
Alex Ross, Fund Manager, Premier Pan European Property Share Fund
Alex joined Premier as fund manager of the Premier Pan European Property Share Fund in June 2005 and has over 20 years of investment management experience in real estate securities. Alex previously worked as a property fund manager at Aberdeen Asset Management.
James Smith, Fund Manager, Premier Global Infrastructure Income Fund
James joined Premier Asset Management in 2012 and is the fund manager of the Premier Global Infrastructure Income Fund and Premier Energy & Water Trust. James joined Premier from Utilico, where he spent 14 years specialising in the global utilities, transportation infrastructure and renewable energy sectors. James is also a chartered accountant and barrister.
Paul Smith, Fund Manager, Premier Defensive Growth Fund
Paul joined Premier Asset Management in 2005 and has been managing low risk mandates for over a decade. Paul is head of the team managing the Premier Defensive Growth Fund.
Chris White, Fund Manager, Premier Optimum Income Fund, Premier Monthly Income Fund, Premier Income Fund
Chris joined Premier in November 2010 to manage UK income funds and has over 20 years of investment management experience. Previously, he was Director of UK Income Funds at Threadneedle Investments. Chris started his career with Robson Rhodes and has also worked for Charterhouse Tilney and Legg Mason as an investment manager.
Chris Wright, Fund Manager, Premier Ethical Fund
Chris Wright joined Premier Asset Management in 2008 and is the fund manager of the Premier Ethical Fund. He joined Premier from Thames River Capital and has over 30 years of investment experience and is a member of the UK Society of Investment Professionals.
Mike Hammond, Sales Director
Mike has over 30 years of investment sales experience and joined Premier Asset Management in 1996. He was appointed Sales Director in January 2013 and is responsible for business development from wealth managers, advisory firms and strategic partners. Before joining Premier Asset Management, Mike worked for Friends Provident.
